Frequently asked questions.
Everything people usually ask before we start.
01You didn't build my site. Can you still work on it?
+
Yes — in fact it's the most common case. Most sites I work on weren't built by me. It starts with an initial audit (usually 1–2 hours) to map how it's built — theme, builder, plugins, hosting — then a full backup and safe work. No need to involve whoever built it.
02My developer disappeared, or the agency closed. Now what?
+
It happens more often than you'd think, and there's no need to look for culprits: what you need is a new technical point of reference. We start from access: with WordPress and hosting credentials I take over everything — backup, audit, intervention. If you're missing some credentials, I'll tell you how to recover them from the provider. From then on, your site has someone looking after it again, when needed.
03Do I need to ask permission from whoever built the site?
+
The site is yours: you can have anyone work on it. The only thing truly needed is access — WordPress and hosting. If something is still managed by the previous provider, such as DNS, licences or repositories, I'll help you recover it.
04Isn't it risky to touch code you don't know?
+
Building a site from scratch is a skill; working on code written by others is an even more specialist one — and it's been my daily job for years. That's why I always follow the same protocol: full backup before starting, staging environment when needed, testing what I change and everything around it, written final report.
05I already have an agency — does WPfix make sense?
+
Yes: for the small, urgent tasks that struggle to fit an agency's workflow. I gladly work alongside your existing providers — and for them too, when they need an extra pair of senior hands, in the open or white label.
06Why just €45/hour?
+
Because here you only pay for technical work: no sales structure, no middlemen, no unworked hours. WPfix is a developer, not an agency. I worked 30 minutes? You pay 30 minutes.
07How does a request work?
+
Write what you need. You get a written estimate within 24 working hours. Accept and we're off — billed in real minutes, short note of what was done.
08Is there a minimum or a contract?
+
No. No monthly minimum, no retainer, no yearly contract. You pay only for work actually done, task by task.
09Do you work only on WordPress?
+
Yes. Specialisation since 2019. Custom themes, Gutenberg, ACF, Elementor, WPML, WooCommerce when needed. With a frontend background since 2006, design-to-code is solid too.
10How does billing work?
+
Every 30 real minutes of work, not a second more. Bank transfer, Italian VAT invoice.
11Do you guarantee the work?
+
Yes. Backup before every change, staging when needed, free fix if something WPfix touched stops working.
12How fast do you reply?
+
Within 24 working hours for an estimate. For urgent work on sites already in my care, usually same day.
13Do I talk to you directly or through an account?
+
Directly with Filippo Tinnirello, who reads, estimates, works and replies. No filters.
14Do you also work on performance and site speed?
+
Yes. LCP, CLS, FID optimisation, WebP images, lazy loading, caching, render-blocking removal. If your site is slow, the audit usually pinpoints the cause fast.
